FELLOWS
The CBDC Tracker is the product of an 8-month fellowship at the Human Rights Foundation where fellows track the progress of CBDCs in every country in the world and flag risks for civil liberties. The fellowship was awarded to Nicholas Anthony, Janine Römer, and Matthew Mezinskis in February 2023.
Nicholas Anthony is a policy analyst at the Cato Institute’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives. Anthony’s research covers a wide range of topics within the field of monetary and financial economics, including financial privacy, cryptocurrencies, and the use of money in society. Anthony is also the author of Digital Currency or Digital Control? Decoding CBDC and the Future of Money.
